With the current COVID restrictions likely staying in place a while longer yet, wedding couples are increasingly choosing to keep their wedding celebrations small and intimate. Solo performers are perfect for reduced-scale weddings.
With guitar vocalists being a dime a dozen in the wedding entertainment market, Chris’s point of difference is that he’s also an amazing saxophonist.
As a solo performer, Chris alternates between guitar & vocals to playing saxophone and singing over pre-recorded backing tracks, depending on what’s required. Many of these backing tracks he recorded himself in his home studio; others are high-quality purchased backings that sound exactly like the original tracks.
His backing library is extensive and covers many genres, including light background cafe-style jazz, easy listening, classic rock and modern dance hits.
A typical all-inclusive wedding might include the following:
CEREMONY - acoustic guitar & vocals
POST-CEREMONY CANAPES - quiet jazz saxophone over backings
DINNER MUSIC - mixture of guitar vocal and more modern sax/vocals over backings
DANCING - upbeat dancefloor hit backing tracks with vocals (and the odd shredding sax solo!)
Chris will bring his own PA system, which will be sized appropriately for the venue & requirements. He is also able to provide a wireless microphone for speeches and will put on background music between sets. He’s happy to learn any particular requests for your ceremony or special moments (first dance, father/daughter dance, farewell etc).
