We were delighted with Chris and his band and can not praise them enough for their entertaining and utterly perfect performance.
— AMY, MARRIED AT PIER ONE SYDNEY

To succeed as a musician, it’s not enough to just be good at playing music.

You have to be professional and flexible. You have to be witty and polite. You have to be entertaining and presentable. You have to go with the flow and find immediate solutions to problems.

Your repertoire also needs to be extensive. You need quiet & loud. You need fast & slow. You need rock, pop, jazz, swing, country. You need to be able to play small intimate settings without damaging people’s ears; you also need to be prepared to keep hundreds of people dancing for several hours. You need to take requests and learn new songs quickly.

I recently hired Chris to perform at my wife’s 60th birthday party at the Australian Museum and was very happy with his performance. He read the party well and played many of her favourite songs and really made the party memorable. Outstanding!
— TIM, 60TH BDAY AT THE AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM
Chris and the band absolutely killed it – it’s been a few weeks and people are still commenting on how great the band was! Thanks for making our wedding so amazing!!
— ELLEN, MARRIED AT THE WILLIAM INGLIS HOTEL

Additionally, your equipment needs to be up to the gig. A quality PA system that can handle high volume, that can also be scaled back for more intimate settings. Wireless microphones for speeches. Knowing how to tune a PA system so everything is perfectly audible without being overpowering.

As these testimonials show, Chris has all these boxes ticked. Having played hundreds of weddings, parties and corporate events, he and his colleagues have earned the experience, repertoire and attitude required to entertain any crowd in any setting.

Chris was classically trained on saxophone & clarinet at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he also studied harmony, composition and jazz improvisation. He is largely self-taught on guitar, bass and keyboards, and has been performing professionally in many different contexts all over the world since his early 20s.

He splits his time fairly evenly between weddings & corporate events around Sydney & the surrounds (ie Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Southern Highlands and beyond) and performing his award-winning multi instrumental show aboard the world’s most exclusive (or “seven star”) boutique cruise ships - Seabourn, Regent, Oceania - as well as the larger passenger lines like Princess, Holland America and Royal Caribbean. At least, he did, until… [gestures at everything]

The band was excellent – had nothing but positive feedback – they read the crowd well and played accordingly. They were also very understanding when our order of events changed (more understanding than me!). Please pass on our thanks to Chris and the band – I’d have no hesitation in using them for a future event or recommending them to anyone else.
— FIONA, COROPORATE EVENT AT DOCKSIDE
Chris played at my daughter’s wedding on the weekend. This is the 2nd time he’s played for us and each time he’s been fabulous. He sang, played sax, guitar and co-ordinated the electronic stuff like mics for speeches. Plus he’s a lovely bloke!
— SUE, WEDDING AT PATONGA BEACH NSW

Chris has his own recording studio where he spends huge amounts of time recording a wide variety of songs - many featuring the half dozen or so electric guitars he has built during the pandemic! Many of the results are made into videos which he posts on YouTube; check some out here.

Chris lives on the NSW Central Coast (about an hour north of Sydney) with his wife and two beautiful little daughters aged 6 and 7.
